Clinical Philosophy
Dr. R. Swaminathan is a Professor and the Head of the Department of Quality Control at the Cancer Institute (WIA). He is a global expert in cancer surveillance, serving as a consultant for the World Health Organization (WHO) and an expert for the IAEA imPACT missions.
He has served on the Executive Board of the International Association of Cancer Registries (IACR) representing Asia. Under his leadership, the institute has pioneered large-scale cancer registration and epidemiological studies in India. He is a recipient of the Best Paper Award from IACR and maintains active collaboration with IARC, Lyon.
