Clinical Philosophy
Dr. Gargi Das is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Oncology in the Department of Medical Oncology at the Cancer Institute (W.I.A), Chennai. She completed her MD in Pediatrics from the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh, and subsequently obtained her DM in Pediatric Oncology from AIIMS, New Delhi.
Throughout her medical training, Dr. Das has been recognized for her academic excellence, receiving several honors including the Darshi Gupta Memorial Prize and multiple Certificates of Merit from Panjab University. She was also ranked in the 'Top 8 research proposals' at the CReDO workshop in 2023.
Her clinical expertise focuses on the comprehensive management of childhood cancers, with a particular specialization in pediatric leukemias, lymphomas, and solid tumors. She is also deeply involved in Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) and hematopoietic stem cell procedures.
Beyond acute clinical care, Dr. Das is a strong advocate for Childhood Cancer Survivorship, focusing on long-term follow-up and the management of late effects such as neurocognitive and metabolic complications.
