Dr. Meenakshi V V

Dr. Meenakshi V.V. is the Head of the Department of Palliative Medicine at the Cancer Institute (WIA), Chennai. She transitioned from a successful career in Anaesthesia to Palliative Care in 2021, driven by a dedication to improving quality of life for cancer patients.

Her clinical focus includes malignant bowel obstruction and expert pain management, including the use of methadone. She has contributed significantly to improving early referral systems for palliative care within the institution and is actively involved in national education and quality improvement programs.
